Construction continues for the Central Place Apartments and Harless Center.

We will begin leasing on Monday, December 8.

Currently there are 2 –bed, 2-bath apartments available.  We will be leasing by the bed .  Rent per bed is $600/month and includes utilities.  Tenants are responsible for internet and cable.  The security deposit per bed is $250 and due at lease signing. 

We are also in the process of hiring resident interns of program and care to live onsite.  Check our website for details regarding this opportunity. 

Moving Forward

Work continues onsite!!  The stucco is going up on Central Place, and the footings have been poured for the Harless Center.  Inside Central Place insulation and drywall work is underway!  Our website has been revamped to prepare for leasing which will begin in a few weeks.

Harless Center at Central Place welcomes you and your family this weekend to the annual Fall Family Weekend.  It is never too early to think about housing for next year.  You are invited to come visit our new complex and community center under construction in downtown Morgantown to get a head start on planning for housing next year.

At Central Place, residents will have the independence of apartment living and with the Harless center located onsite, they will be able to connect with students and the community through service projects, weekly meals, group discussion, and programs.  

Class is underway

The first two weeks of class are almost complete, and we get a bit of a break with the Labor Day weekend to catch our breath, rest, and have some fun.  Now that you have settled into classes, this is a good time to connect with the myriad of student organizations on the WVU campus.  These help you to make new friends, meet people you would have never met, and in many cases help you  make a positive difference in the world.   To see all the possibilities, click HERE.   When Harless Center is up and running next  year, we hope to host religious organizations fairs and service organization fairs ONSITE so that you can find ways to connect with student and community organizations and serve the greater Morgantown community.  There will be a Harless Center Student Association that will help plan and lead events and activities and provide feedback about life in the complex.

The roof is going on, rooms are being framed in--the building is taking shape!  

Harless Center update

The start of the 2014 - 2015 school year is less than a month away and the Central Place apartment complex construction is moving along with roofing materials ready to be installed so that we can start welcoming residents in the Spring of 2015!

Over the summer, the Harless Center board has been working with Kim Palumbo from Menus Plus Graphics by Kim to prepare marketing materials to kick off our leasing season early this fall.  Look for more information on our website once school starts and our advertisements in the Daily Athenaeum this fall.  

Mid-fall we will be our application and hiring process for our resident Student Directors of Programs and Support.  Stay tuned for more information!
